We are lucky enough at Apple Barn to be situated near plenty of beautiful beaches. From local Wonwell and Westcombe, to Bigbury-on-Sea, Bantham and Thurlestone, and even to Salcombe if you’re feeling adventurous, you’re sure to find a beach for everyone.

Or if it’s a bit chilly for swimming outdoors, pop into Kingsbridge for lunch and a swim in the public pool – or visit Modbury for a spot of shopping.

In this section we have included information about some of our favourite places to visit and what to do while you’re there.

And when you’re tired out from the day’s explorations, what better than to stoke up the wood-burning stove, flop onto a sofa with a cup of tea and pull out a board game or a pack of cards.
